Imagine what you're doing with these (thoughts/distressing memories/feelings) is like fighting with a beach ball in a pool.
You don't like them, you don't want them, and you want them out of your life. So, you try and push this ball under water, out of your consciousness.
I have more than 8 years of experience working with acceptance and commitment therapy. After studying psychology at university and completing my masters, I began training as an ACT therapist. After working in the NHS treating those with emotional health issues I decided to start up my own practice in Northampton. I love working with people, helping them to develop skills and ways of thinking that help them live more fulfilling lives.
